Hannah is wishing that this weather would improve. No work has been done for days due to gale force winds and torrential rain. When is it going to stop?!?
12th September 2011
It is a very sad day for us, it is with deep sadness to announce that Moss-Side Quinteen our beautiful stallion passed away yesterday at the Dick Vet School in Edinburgh. Q was fighting off a toxic poisoning, the cause unknown when his respiratory system gave up just 40mins after us visiting him. The staff and the students never gave up on him and he received the very best care and for that we will always be thankful. We are very lucky that we have his two sons, pet names Stormy and Sunny. Sunny looks very much like Q and they both have his wonderful kind nature. Q was only 4years old and to have lost him is so upsetting as we had got him as a weanling and he had never left us. He is deeply missed.

Pippa had a colt foal this morning! This is Moss-Side Quinteen's first foal on the ground. We have named the new addition Hanedin Thor. Thor being the god of thunder as it is stormy here today.
Thor is a beautiful dark grey with prominent eel stripe and zebra markings. Pippa is being a fantastic mum and he has had a good feed.
Rona is being a great Auntie and is keeping an eye out for them.

The farm has been an extremely busy place since the snow went. Hannah acquired a new competition horse in February out of the blue, it was not at all planned. Big B is on cracking form and the young highlands are starting their ridden education. Pippa and Rona the two Highland mares look ready to pop, we are very excited as they are in foal to Q our own stallion. We will put pictures up when they are born.

Hannah is of course delighted but not so delighted with the weather holding back training. Just time to wish all of Hannah's clients a very happy christmas and a successful 2011.

Hannah has been very busy since the last update with lots of teaching and training. We are going to be running test riding sessions and schooling nights this year. Keep an eye out for the new look website which will have all of the dates and booking facilities combined.
13th March 2010 We are delighted to announce that Moss-Side Quinteen our young Highland Stallion has passed his licensing and will be standing at stud for the 2010 season to a limited number of mares only. Please contact Hannah for more information or to arrange a visit.
27th February 2010 We are hoping to have a mobile home available to people wanting to bring their horses for some residential training with Hannah or to merely have a few days away to hack around the beautiful Callendar Estate forest where there have been new tracks added this winter. The mobile home will also be available to bird watchers who want to get up close to view the bean geese as our farm is the prime feeding area in the Slamannan Plateau SSSI, SPA. The mobile home may be of interest to mountain bikers, walkers, cani-cross or for people just wanting to get away from it all. The farm is in a prime location for the Falkirk Wheel and major Central Scotland tourist attractions and only 45minutes from Edinburgh or Glasgow!
23rd January 2010 Welcome to the re-designed website, you can now book a lesson online and keep up to date with all the goings on at Beam Farm.
